Aquarium Restaurants

A memorable "underwater dining experience" was envisioned by our client, Landry's Seafood Restaurants, Inc., in the mid 1990's. To achieve our goal, the client purchased several custom made aquariums, some of which are the largest in the world. It was our mission and challenge to encompass these aquariums and wrap the patron in an experience unlike any other. The project contains many items that were totally customized to create this underwater concept. Hand-made acrylic sea grass, column capitals, translucent fish forms for pendant lighting, carpet and terrazzo flooring containing colored glass and abalone chips are just a few of the specialty features utilized for this restaurant. Since the original restaurant was completed in the summer of 1998, the concept has been expanded and reproduced with great success in Houston, Texas, Nashville, Tennessee, and Denver, Colorado.
